Cleanse: Using warm water, dampen your face, and décolleté (chest & neck area). Apply a small amount of cleansing lotion to the fingertips and gently massage over the face, neck and décolleté using small circular motions. Pay particular attention to the ‘T’ section if this area is oily or prone to breakout.
Rinse well with warm water and pat dry with clean towel.
Cleansing should be done twice daily: in the morning on arising and in the evening before retiring.
Cleansing removes environmental residue, dust etc and also removes any sebaceous material from the pores and surface of the skin.
Always cleanse away make-up before going to bed.
Tone: Saturate a cotton pad with toner/spritzer and apply to clean face and décolleté with a gentle dabbing motion (not wiping). Allow to dry on.
Toner/Spritzer is used to PH Balance the skin’s surface, soothing the skin while neutralising any traces of cleanser. It is a must in the Australian climate and can be used as a refresher in air conditioned environments, during long flights, anywhere your skin is prone to high levels of dehydration.
Moisturise: Apply a small amount of moisturiser to the fingertips, then apply to face and décolleté using circular motions. Avoid the eyelids. Apply a small amount to the neck in an upwards motion.
Moisturiser absorbed into the dermis keeps your skin hydrated, and gives your skin a fresh, plump, youthful radiance.
Allow three or four minutes for moisturiser to be absorbed before starting your make-up application.
Exfoliant: This should be used only once weekly for normal to dry skin and only once every five days for oily and/or outbreak-prone skin. Be gentle, do not overdo the treatment. An exfoliant can be used in conjunction with the morning routine.
After cleansing the skin and rinsing with warm water, apply a small amount of exfoliant to the fingertips and very gently massage over the face, neck and décolleté using small circular motions. Be sure that the exfoliant is kept quite moist, applying more water as required. Do not overdo massage and exfoliation. Rinse well then apply your toner and moisturiser.
Exfoliant removes any dead skin cells and sebaceous material that has built up on the skin, exposing the new outer layer. This new outer layer must be kept moisturised.
Exfoliant stimulates the dermis (under the outer skin) increasing circulation (blood flow) to these layers.
